California Business Properties Association is the 12,000-member strong, legislative advocate for ICSC, NAIOP, BOMA-California, IREM, RILA, CDA, CCIM of Northern California, and ACRE of Southern California.

Rex has long recognized the need for developing a partnership between the private and public sectors, and is a respected and acknowledged spokesman for the commercial real estate industry.  Among his many accomplishments Rex has: helped create the coalition that stopped the threat of split roll tax; led the passage of the law prohibiting commercial rent control; formed a coalition to successfully achieve passage of landmark legislation redefining the approval process for drive-thru’s; and has served on either the steering or finance committee for statewide school construction bonds.
